Any mental abnormality can also be a case of this acne. As in adolescent and adult acne, any underlying condition must also be treated. This kind of acne receives the same treatment as it does in adults. Treatment consists of a smooth cleansing of the skin when it is washed with topical agents. Antibiotics can be used but in extreme cases. Just like in cases of adolescent acne, any other reason leading to this acne should also be treated. The therapy cannot be taken off until and unless the acne goes away. The development of acne can cause itching to the baby which is quite frustrating for the parent.
